About the project

Chibi Chibi Beachfront Bistro is a casual beachfront dining experience designed for scuba divers and beachgoers to unwind after a day in the ocean. Serving seafood and American-inspired comfort food, the brand identity draws from the surrounding coastal environment through a palette of ocean blues paired with warm yellow accents to create a balance of freshness, relaxation, and hospitality. The colors reflect the hues of the sea while introducing warmth and energy that mirrors the welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant.

The typography was designed to feel bold, playful, and memorable without becoming visually overwhelming. Instead of presenting “Chibi Chibi” as one large block of text, the lettering was arranged and manipulated to create rhythm, balance, and movement within the composition. By stacking and spacing the words strategically, the logo maintains a strong, compact presence while still feeling open and easy to read. The repeated forms of the letters create visual unity, allowing the name to function almost as a graphic shape rather than just typography, giving the branding a fun and modern personality that stands out along the beachfront setting.
